Active Projects
⏱️ At a Glance Active Projects is your map of the whole pipeline. Once you click Generate Documentation at the end of your project brief, your project moves into this 9-stage pipeline. This page gives you a one-screen summary of all 9 stages — each one has its own page in this section with the full walkthrough, screenshots, and a worked example.
The Active Projects panel — accessible from the left sidebar under Active Projects — gives you a single screen showing exactly where a project sits in its delivery lifecycle, alongside portfolio-level health metrics. Click any project in the list (e.g. Gate Secure, Loanmind AI) to open its pipeline view.
The 9-Stage Pipeline
Every project moves through these stages, in order, shown as a horizontal stepper at the top of the project view:

🔒 Stages 5–9 (Build, Code, QA, Deploy, Archive) are locked by default — each shows a padlock icon until Build Access is granted by your Platform Administrator.
Worked Example: Gate Secure
Throughout this section, we follow a second real project end-to-end — Gate Secure — alongside the existing Contractor Sync example used in the Projects brief walkthrough.
The problem, in the requester's own words: "I need an application for security people to use at gate to store the vehicles getting in & out at the gate. Because security mens are now entering in physical notebook now."
This is a deliberately informal, real-world problem statement — not a polished paragraph. It shows what DeX does with a rough, conversational input rather than a perfectly structured one.
The stepper at the top of the project view shows the full 9-stage pipeline at a glance. The current stage is highlighted, completed stages show a colored icon, and locked stages show a padlock until access is granted.
Stage 1 — Business Request, In Detail
Opening Stage 1 on a project shows three sub-sections used to capture the original ask:

For Gate Secure, the Problem Statement sub-step contains exactly the gate-logbook problem quoted above — captured as-is, then expanded by DeX's AI into the structured BRD, SRD, and FSD.
