Partner Categories

Partner roles — referral, collaborative, implementation — describe what you do on a project and set your commission. Partner categories are a separate axis: they describe what kind of organization you are, and help Colakin match you to the right clients and projects. An organization can qualify under more than one category.

How categories and roles work together​

Category and role are independent. A Technology Partner is a strong natural fit for the Implementation Partner role; a Consulting Partner often fits Collaborative Partner work; an Industry Partner frequently starts as a Referral Partner leveraging vertical relationships — but none of this is a hard rule. Categorization is about matching, not restricting: any qualified partner can take on any role they're certified or qualified for, regardless of category.
